well ydae was my first day at work. and also my first time being a waitress. well report to work alone at shangri-la sentosa ydae and i totally didnt noe where to go and wad to do sia. luckily there was this caucasian cook there to direct mi to everythg. omg and i was supposed to wear stockings and bun up my hair but i was not informed loh. den got a colleague help mi out and i guess it she did a swell job of it. she bun up my hair with juz a rubber band loh. and to hell with the stockings anyway.
well we were supposed to set up the tables and everythg coz there was a meeting before that. so i was to like put those dishes of chilli onto the tables lahs. but wth. when i lifted the huge tray of chilli of the table one tray of pepper holders toppled loh. wth. luckily it wasnt my fault. hais but had to pick up all those unbroken holders loh. den everywhere was pepper and i was dying due to that horrible itch in my nose. hais. den i was one of the few to go to the lounge(by the beach) to serve drinks lahs. was like so cool. but it was tiring work. my wrist ached like hell from balancing the tray loh. during that time i got aqquainted with this guy our age. he asked mi for my sch and when i told him he gave those kind of oh-my-god-it-cant-be look. hahas. he's from serangoon gardens sec sia. hahas. stay hougang de. den it was super farnie loh. he said nisa's good when i asked him abt our bball team. he watched last yr's match mahs.
well anyway den we juz walked ard the lounge with the tray loh. den see hu wan drink wad. well den when all the guests went up to the pavilion(that's wad they call the ballroom) we cleared up and went up loh. so i was in charge of serving drinks loh. it was way cool but way tiring too. had a time of my life. it's like i nvr worked so hard for smth before. den i served wine too and den my captain and colloegues gave mi pointers and stuff loh. the kitchen floor is damn slippery too. hahas.
den when it finally ended my feet wad like killing mi coz of my shoes. hais. den i still work OT sia. hahas den got one guy ask mi izzit i stay near toa payoh. den he say i look familiar. hahas he stay toa payoh too loh. so cool. my manager aso. hahas. well den i had to gather the linens and prepare the set up for todae aso. it's really hard work man. i will nvr underestimate the job of a waitress anymore. well den we went off abt 1. coz the hotel provides transport to ur hse and everythg. so nice. hais. im so tired from typing le. well all in all it was a good but tiring experience. =)
